Let's get to know one another!
Hi, I’m Abe, a Chicago wedding photographer specializing in documentary, candid, story-driven wedding photography, with a deep love for film. My work is rooted in real moments, honest connection, and storytelling that feels true to who you are.
My wife Dennie and I have been married since 2019, and we’re raising our son, Abe Jr., here in Chicago. We’re big on coffee, meaningful conversations, faith, and finding beauty in everyday life. That rhythm, slowing down and being present, shapes the way I photograph weddings.
My approach is simple. I document your day as it naturally unfolds. The in-between moments, the quiet nerves before walking down the aisle, the laughter during toasts, the tight hugs, the happy tears, and all the details you didn’t even realize mattered until later. I don’t force or over-direct what’s already meaningful. Instead, I observe, anticipate, and preserve your story the way it actually felt.
I photograph weddings across Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, and I’m always happy to travel. Whether you’re planning a full wedding day, an intimate celebration, or a Chicago City Hall ceremony, my goal is to give you images that feel timeless, emotional, and real. I also incorporate film photography throughout the day for its texture, warmth, and the slower, intentional pace it brings. I regularly photograph weddings at venues like Cafe Brauer, Artifact Events, Chicago Winery, and Chicago City Hall.
Marriage is built on everyday choices, commitment, grace, and love. Being trusted to document the beginning of that journey is something I never take lightly. If you value authentic moments over perfect poses, I’d love to get to know you and help tell your story.
If you’re looking for a Chicago wedding photographer who values candid moments, documentary storytelling, and genuine connection, I’d be honored to tell your story.
