Hi, my name is Abe - the man behind the camera! Growing up, I always saw my dad with a film camera and I enjoyed looking through the prints of my childhood back in the Philippines. A camera - what a wonderful little thing. After moving to the United States in high school, I brought my digital camera everywhere - photographing and documenting my friends and anything that I found cool around Rogers Park, Chicago! Somehow, I ended up in nursing school and worked as a nurse after college. The love of photography always remained and it runs in the family as my brother is a fashion photographer in LA! After getting married, with my wife's support I quit nursing in 2020 and pursued photography full time - and I never looked back!

Here I am - Abe Fernandez Photography. I am a storyteller. I love to capture weddings, the interactions, as natural as they could be. I love seeing my bride and groom enjoy each moment of their wedding day, being present to the people who matter most. I am joined by one of my trusted second photographers Grace, Meli, and Bo who assists me on the day of. My team's goal is to provide an enjoyable photography experience not only to our couples but also to their family & friends. We come to bless and celebrate with you! We are pretty much friends with camera! 

Outside of photography, I am a husband to Dennie and a father to our wonderful son Abe Jr. We love to travel. My wife and I love documenting our daily life and adventures through photographs, especially as we see our baby grow fast before our eyes. We like to preserve these points in time and it is such a blessing to do so! Dennie and I are big coffee lovers, and big foodies. Our son also loves to eat (thankfully!) and is a great little traveler. I thank God for the outpour of blessing to me!
