I’m Abe Fernandez, a Chicago wedding photographer who believes the best moments aren’t directed, they’re lived. My work is grounded in observation — finding beauty in what’s real, unposed, and often unexpected. Whether it’s a quiet breath before the ceremony or the laughter echoing after the last dance, those are the moments I’m drawn to.
Every wedding I photograph carries its own rhythm and emotion, and I aim to capture it as it truly unfolds. My approach is simple: document your day with care, intention, and a deep respect for the story being told.
"We absolutely loved working with Abe! From the beginning, we knew we could trust him with capturing our story perfectly and we were right. Abe went above and beyond to make sure the day ran smoothly. He was so thoughtful, calm and present during the photos and managed our large wedding party with grace. Our highlight of the day was the sunset photos on the beach which Abe made sure we had time for. The photos are breathtaking—we could not be happier with the way he captured the moment.
Looking through our whole gallery brings us so much joy. Abe’s work is a true reflection of what we experienced that day and we are so grateful for these memories forever."

"We first had the pleasure of working with Abe for our engagement shoot. He captured our love so beautifully that we knew we wanted to work with him again on our wedding day! Abe & team ensured our wedding day was everything we wanted it to be. Not only was he professional but also incredibly adaptable when it began to rain on our California wedding. He captured all of the most special moments and even executed the perfect sunset shot when the clouds cleared. We could not have asked for a more accommodating & talented team. We truly will cherish these photos for years to come and our friends and families couldn’t agree more!"

"I cannot recommend Abe enough after working with him for our wedding! From the very first meeting, Abe was incredibly attentive and considerate, taking the time to really get to know us and what we wanted out of our photos. He was very thoughtful, specifically asking us what moments mattered most to us to capture on our wedding day. He truly listened and understood our vision. Abe was also very easy to work with and gave us much-needed direction when taking photos which really helped us feel at ease. We were able to relax and be ourselves, and he absolutely captured everything we wanted and more! It was such a reassurance throughout the entire process to know we were in such good hands. Our photos turned out beautiful and I know we will cherish them forever."
If you’re planning a wedding at the South Shore Cultural Center wedding venue in Chicago, you’re choosing one of the most iconic and visually stunning spaces the city has to offer. With its grand architecture, lakeside views, and elegant ballroom, it’s a dream location for timeless, heartfelt celebrations.
There’s something about a Chicago engagement session that just feels real. The city has its own rhythm, and I love building sessions around places that actually matter to you. For this shoot, we kept it simple and true to their everyday life: starting at a Chicago Blue Line train station, then slowing things down with a cozy coffee date at Cafe Robey.
